Third Grade Experience
The following skills themes are assessed on the third grade report card for each student:
Psychomotor skills:
Effort and Participation:
Personal and Social Responsibility:
- Throws overhand demonstrating a mature pattern, in non-dynamic environments (closed skills), to a stationary target
- Catches a thrown ball using a mature pattern in a non-dynamic environment (stationary).
- Strike an object using mature underhand striking pattern, sending it forward over a net.
- Strikes a stationary ball with a long-handled implement (e.g. hockey stick, bat, golf club), sending it forward, using the proper grip for the implement.
- During educational gymnastics demonstrates the ability to combines balance and weight transfers (e.g. mule kick, cartwheel, round off)
Effort and Participation:
- Prepared for class (sneakers), demonstrates appropriate participation and effort in class activities.
Personal and Social Responsibility:
- Exhibits personal responsibility while working cooperatively with others.
